Save the Date - February 22nd, 2014 - 20th Annual Chili Cook-Off & Outhouse Race
Cheers and laughter filled The Homestead Pavilion on Saturday, March 2, 2013 from 11 am to 4 pm at the 19th Annual Chili Cook-Off and Outhouse Race. It was a beautiful clear day, with chilies to taste from super hot to light and wimpy. Outhouses ran heats and runoff races before the winner was determined. Live Country Dancing and music by Gypsy Rodes filled the air. There was an official Jalapeno Eating Contest and performing groups by local organizations entertained the crowds. Chamber members and local vendors participated in the Business EXPO.
Most of all, it was a fun filled family day for deepSouth Dade. Presented by the Greater Homestead/Florida City Chamber of Commerce and sponsored by Spitzer Homestead, Community Bank ofFlorida, Commissioner Lynda Bell Dist 8, Homestead Miami Speedway, Impact Sign Co., Southland Mall, Site Maintenance, Stick & Stein Sport Rock Cafe, TD Bank andFloridaCityCenter.
